VISUAL ARTS
Drawing with Coloured Pencil Gerry Oliver
This workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of drawing with coloured pencil or, if you are an experienced student, will guide you in more advanced techniques.

Come enjoy a full day of scrapbooking, art and clay sculpting for kids! Everyone will have time to explore each medium, and even come home with a few personal works of art.

Aimed at young adults, this workshop focuses on the fundamentals of acting and performance in a casual and collaborative environment.

FIBRE ARTS
Basic Beading on Fabric Pat Findlay
This three-hour class, for the beginner or intermediate level student, will introduce various types of beads and the techniques needed to attach them to fabric. Each student should be able to stitch a small sampler of beading techniques within the time allotted, using the kit provided.

Needle Felting Diana Neuman
This workshop will introduce you to the art of needle felting, including a brief description of the processing and dying of fleece that produces the materials. Students will work on a step-by-step project that will teach them all the skills they need to go on and produce works of their own.

Knitting, crocheting and sewing to create wearable fashion or works of art are all popular activities once again, but not all of us had the opportunity to learn them at our grandmother’s knee. This winter the VCC is offering several beginner-level courses in a casual environment to help you get started.
Beginners’ Quilting Lane Englund
Spend a day learning the basic skills involved in putting a quilt together. If you have any experience sewing, you too can learn to make these beautiful and practical works of art.
